Normally on a Monday morning, we would go to one of the local playgroups, but they are still all closed due of the Christmas holidays. So, after our dog (Percy, the miniature Dachshund who thinks he is a Rottweiler) decided to wee on Luna's bedroom carpet and then she decided to tip her orange juice all over my beloved antique kilim rug....I managed to squeeze in a couple of minutes to package some orders for my vintage shop.
This beautiful 1960's cherry Afghan suede jacket had just sold and needed wrapping. These coats are abit of an addiction for me. I have a couple in my personal collection, and find it so hard to part with them!
Here she is wrapped and ready to be sent to her new home in America. It's not always an easy job when you've got a toddler tugging at your leg repeatdly, shouting "mummy mummy mummy!!" But I really try and wrap up my shop items with a lot of care and love.
I run my little online vintage shop from my attic at home. It also doubles as my husband's office (he recently started working from home 2 days a week), so as you can imagine it's jam-packed!
So after what seemed like 5000 hours, we managed to get out the door and walked into the city centre to post my parcels and run some errands (we are a 10 minute walk from the city, very handy). That's where all plans ended and went out the window. Cue an hour of tantrums, screaming, tears, a couple of layers of clothing down (Luna not me) and we were back home, with none of errands completed or parcels posted.
Cue another hour of tears and tantrums and nap refusal (anything but the dreaded nap refusal!! *cries into hands dramatically*) and here we are......watching Peppa Pig, with a shoe on her head.
Anything for a 5 minute break, right? I'm hoping she will have an early night and I can collapse on the sofa and not move for approximately 3.5 hours.
I won't share a photo of today's outfit, because frankly, I looked like a bedraggled wizard (and not in good way).
I'm off to make a cuppa and eat some more leftover Christmas chocs before I lose the will to live.
Much love! X
